Yep, Gunbird 2's famous with it's 26 different seperate endings depending on what character(s) you choose at the eventual conclusion. Suppose if Gunbird 3 had been released instead of Dragon Blaze, there'd be even a greater selection of odd-ball characters to choose from with some of that off-the-wall Psikyo branded humor. Marion looks pretty good when all grown up and endowed with that hourglass figure when she's granted her one wish. ^_~

This really moved moved me. The Darius series has always been about a hopeless battle against fish aliens annihilating all life on earth. There are five endings in G-Darius, but in one of them, when the boss explodes it emits a wave, dissolving everything in the area. Both the red and blue ships are annihilated, and the pilots are left in space and float towards eachother for one final embrace as their bodies are consumed into nothingness.
Apart from Ikaruga's ending, I don't think I've even been so moved by a shmup. Who'd have thought such a genre could show such a scene.

On the Taito FX-1B powered G-Darius PCB, all the ending stories are played out with real-time 3D polygonal graphics but on the PSX/PS2 ports of G-Darius, they're presented in lower quality FMV. How Taito managed to get all five FMV ending clips on a single disc is quite something (for the PSX version). ^_~Mad Mage wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6w_FFP0I ... re=related
