Witch 'Em Up

Post by RushJet1 »

Hey, Tinchetsu and I worked on a game for a CGA Jam called Witch 'Em Up and thought it would be fun to post it here, since this is kind of this site's thing.

CGA Jam is a game jam where you can only use a 4-color palette of either cyan/magenta/white/black or red/green/yellow/black as was the hardware limitation of CGA graphics cards in the 80s.

Tinchetsu did most of the coding and made level 1, and I wrote the music and made level 2.

Have fun playing!

Surprised to see you post here! I adore your music.

The game was short & sweet, was able to beat it blind without dying once, thanks to the health. Kinda silly when I pose against the moon and it suddenly starts shaking and comes on top of the witch in drawing order, latter being maybe my only "gripe" with the game, fun moment otherwise.

It was kinda choppy when playing windowed, at least in title screen, but fullscreen worked fine. What's it made with?
If watching the trailer of the game
makes you feel a certain way
I would be very happy if
you would give the game a try

It's made for the TIC-80, which is a fantasy computer kind of like the PICO-8

Cool! Best intro to a boss ever.
I died at the boss, not being as good as eebrozgi, and then when I got to the boss again there was some evil scenery there as well.
The hit box was a bit big for my taste, yeah, that's probably why I died. :)
