Hello all. I know there's a large group of dedicated and knowledgeable shmup fans here, and I'm excited to share the debut trailer of my upcoming shmup with you guys.

Feel free to offer comments and criticism. The game is still in an early development stage, so plenty of things can change. I plan on updating this thread with further information as we continue working on the game.

That's a fancy graphical style you've going on and I also enjoyed the music (I assume it plays during the actual gameplay as well). The bullet patterns look a bit too samey and slow throughout the trailer for my tastes but other than that the gameplay looks solid enough.

Thank you! The song in the trailer is part of the Level 1 theme, just slightly changed for the video. More unique bullet patterns is definitely something to work on. A lot of the non-boss enemies have very similar shooting patterns, and I know there's a lot more room to be creative with that portion of the game. I plan on having a playable demo built by August 30th for a local event I'm showing this off at. Hopefully I can share the demo here shortly after that.

Thank you! I'm showing it off at Hyper Fighting in MN, which is a relatively large (as large as it can be in MN) fighting game tournament. I'm giving away gift cards to the top 3 high-scores at the end of the event, in order to encourage people to try play with the scoring system in mind. Hopefully I'll get some good playtesting info, and be able to polish up the demo to the point where I'm comfortable releasing it online.
