Works for me.

Quite tough to play on the keyboard (I'm in work), but the game itself is pretty good. Incredibly well polished compared to what I was expecting!

Good job :)

I've been playing this most of the day

Which is rare. So at least as far as I'm concerned it's pretty good :)

A bit of constructive criticism:

1) Type-S bomb (Slowdown bullets) isn't helpful.
2) It takes far too long to refill DASH. Even with grazing, collecting and attacking you are waiting much too long before being able to dash again. Perhaps make it more like Psyvariar where your dash meter fills up at the same time as dashing?

This looks really sweet. However, after 2 tries [cleared my cache to make sure the second time actually tried again], I couldn't download it. I'm using Google Chrome as my browser.
Come check out my website, I guess. Random stuff I've worked on over the last two decades.

If your server is also in HK, that might explain some things, as there is only so much bandwidth in those transatlantic cables. We'll take a look as soon as we are able to get a good connection. :) (and a PC, if there turns out to be an .EXE in that zip. We are a Mac shop.)

Don't be discouraged by initial-release bugs due to different browsers/OS/GPUs -- we've been through that. Things will get better!

If it's handy for anyone, could they toss this up on their hosting? I'm getting something around 5 kb/s, so that'd help a lot :P

For anyone who cannot download the file , I have uploaded the file to some file hosting site . It may still slow but better than nothing... Hong Kong server is very weak while transfering to oversea.

Thanks for your comment :D

For 1 , I notice that too , I think adding some long seeking laser (think of Ikaruga) and reduce the slow time will be better. ..

For 2 , that mean after dashing , instead reset to 0% , but set the precentage base on how many bullet you have "dashed"? It is a good idea . But will this let the player perfrom infinite dash? :)

Stage 1 theme is awfully familiar. Is there any connection between these two?

Anyway this looks and plays pretty nice, gotta try some more later when I have time.

2. Yes, something like that. If it's balanced correctly a good player could clear the screen of bullets with dashing on certain bullet patterns, but not on all of them.

This was very interesting to play!

I think the art is fairly good and the gameplay seems pretty complex. I just had a quick run and enjoyed the quality of it.
Some of the best shmups don't actually end in a vowel.
No, this game is not Space Invaders.

I downloaded it, and ran it.
Well, everything ran fine... until a single enemy came on screen. Then the game dropped fro 60fps to 10fps. I lowered all the graphics settings to minimum, and set the resolution to 512x384, and it still dropped down to 10fps when an enemy came on.

I've got a 64MB Intel integrated graphics chip for my video, but literally *EVERYTHING* runs at a solid 60fps until an enemy comes on screen.

Also, the first bullet option is invisible when graphic settings are at minimum.

Downloaded via Rapidshare with no troubles. ;)

This game is INSANE!!! I love it, looks rather graphics-demanding though, I'll have to spread this round at school and see, eh. :D

Besides that, it's excellent. I can't see any glitches with it so far and all the problems I'm having is from me not being used to bullet-hell SHUMPs, so this thing really has all bases coverred.

It seem the game used to much display memory during caching the texture and sprite. I tried with some onboard display and it drop to 10fps.
I will try to fix in next update.

Most excellent. I wish I could suggest some improvements but I can't. This game is just great.
OK, the power-down system annoyed me but that's the only bad thing I can say.

I really like this.

I guess I could nitpick, but you can surf lasers so it doesn't matter.

Because I'm an idiot that's not used to these style of SHMUPs, could someone please clarify to me the reason as to why I can't get past Level 2?
I'm thinking it's because either I died too many times ( In that case, Duh.) or cause they haven't been made yet.
Sorry for the nag, but I gotta know.

Stage 1 theme and the one in the video is also from a japanese free music resource site "TAM Music Factory"
http://www.tam-music.com/

The one I use is the midi version , so it sound different than the video one.
Sorry for the late reply.

I signed up mainly to comment on this game. :D

To start, I'm a huge fan of bullet hell games, so I greatly enjoyed this game!
The graphics are great and colorful and nice to look at, and the music selections are great too. The bullet patterns were nothing short of beautiful, and were as fun to dodge as they were visually appealing.
The dash/power meter is very unique and I really liked it. I don't have any complaints about the charge-up speed. It doesn't take that long to reach 100%
The enemy indicators that also display health on the left are a nice feature that I found useful too.

Moderated mode was great fun, but I think you should make it easier for beginners, because as it is I think it is too hard for an "easy mode."
Miracle mode put me into some of the most extreme situations I have been in, and I have to practice a lot to get good at this mode.
Meteor mode was just too fast for me.

I really like the third shot mode, but the bomb (slow time), while useful, does not help in really tight situations because it does not destroy bullets.

I will have to keep a close eye on this game, don't give up on developing it, and good luck!

Huh, I was surprised to see that I hadn't commented in this thread yet. imo this is definitely one of the best games in the development forum. Great stuff, I'd love to see more.
