I deleted some files on my PC, that I thought I didn't need anymore and now XOP black has some very bad glitches. I tried reinstalling and everything, but it didn't help. Looks like I'll never play it again or something.

Bumping this, since I've been doing more work on this project.
I released Revision 7, which was by far the biggest update the game has ever gotten. But unfortunately, there were still some things I wasn't satisfied with, so I'm going back to do more work on it.
XOP Black Revision 8 Changes
- Added TLB for EX course.
- Added enemies before miniboss in EX 0.
- All bosses now have timeouts.
- Extra modes no longer have overdrive meter.
- Overdrive meter charges faster.
- Overdrive meter resets on new level start.
- Enemies take increased damage from reflect shields on skill Insane.
- Tweaked miniboss/boss shot patterns.
- End level/game bonuses now scale with skill level.
- Removed accuracy bonus.
Here is a pic of the boss timeout. The static effect moves pretty rapidly, and instead of the usual end stage music, you get this : http://rydia.net/udder/!crap/timeout.xm

Rank is decided by DAL counter. At 1000, enemies fire normally. Every 1000 more doubles the enemy fire rate (2000=2x, 3000=3x, etc.)
Rank minimum is 70% firing rate. Maximum is 500% firing rate.
Bombing causes DAL counter to drop by 4 for every reflected bullet. You also get DAL counter * 4 for every reflected bullet generated. The DAL counter at the start of the bomb is used for every reflected bullet, so bomb when the counter is high!
Your bombs are only used up if you bomb when your DAL counter is under 1000.

But that's the awesome part. I wish anyone who considered doing anything "retro" would move on from the 8-bit era into sweet 16-bit SNES-y graphics. Oh, and I love the latest released revision. EX mode should have been there, always. Infact, that was my only problem with rev 6 IIRC, you couldn't go through the EX stages in order, you had to do them independently from each other.

I decided to go ahead with the TLB rush idea. You fight the normal course TLB, EX course TLB, and then this special TLB that only appears in this mode.
It does have it's own new background and music, so consider it a really short stage with nothing but TLBs.
The special TLB has shot patterns based on midbosses from the original XOP level 8.

Quick update, the bullet cancels in EX3 were too much, and it was possible to get a score higher than I had planned. I uploaded a new version that doesn't break demo compatibility, but scores on EX3 will be lower than before. This should bring the total score for EX3 more in line with the other EX levels.
- Bullet cancels in EX3 produce less DAL coins.
