Dude I never heard of the man but I just googled him and you are so right! All I need is to wait about 10 years and gain about 60 pounds...

All the pics were taken with a Sony Cybershot DSC-T1 except the first one which was taken by a Japanese friend of mine who happens to be a professional photographer. God only knows what voodoo magic he used...

Now THAT (or, more appropriately, the high-res one) is what a cityscape in a shmup oughta look like. Maybe we oughta send "Goldberg" over to the developers' offices to make sure they're not slacking off.

Sucks dude. I am in France until April 26th. Every three months I have to leave the country for a few weeks because of the visa situation...

That's bizarre. Is it because you regularly have to re-apply for a tourist visa?

You don't have to apply for a tourist visa - they give it to you automatically when you arrive at the airport.
Unfortunately, at the moment it is not possible for me to get a different visa so I have been forced to do this for the past year and will probbably be doing it for at least a couple more.

Haven't played arcades much lately. I will be doing a story about my favorite arcade soon, however. In about a week - check my site.
As for September, I'll be here and I'll be going to TGS.
If you want we can go together. I will try to get a few people to go in a group.

What week... I might be there as well... probably not too much arcading though. Gotta hang out w/ the homies, and none of them play games. On that note, I'll definitely not be attending the TGS, as I'll only have a week, and probably be getting pretty fucked up on the weekends.

What we need is an Online Shmupmeet at some point. (Kaillera comes to mind.)

Just go. Take your diploma, check the Monday Japan Times, get a teaching job, and live there happily for 7 years. I did.
Icy -- great sig. Best one I've ever seen.

Unfortunately bloodflowers took it down because it was a bit too big. I'll come up with a smaller one!

Yeah, they're pretty nazi-ish about the sigs here. Oh, well. Keeps the annoying ones out.
On Topic: I will be heading to Tokyo in September some time. WOuld be sooner, but other people are coming to visit my ass here. It looks like another person from the mainland MIGHT be moving to the island, in which case I can actually take Japaense holidays (noble, huh?), and do some 4-5 day weekends in the big city.

I just finished setting up a new forum for
insomnia . Whoever is interested in talking about games/Japan is welcome to join (click on my sig).
That especially includes you GaijinPunch, although I understand you have your own Japan forums and might be too busy.
