Shmupmeet in Montreal?

Hey there,

Was wondering is some people were up for a meet in Montreal. I have the normal student problems (time and money), so I'm not really able to leave the city much, and I only have like my laptop + emulators and few games on X360, but I'm still a bit curious on how it is. I know some meet happened in the city before, so maybe some people are still up for something again now.

If some people are up, we could probably at the Foonzo Gamer bar or something like that.

Yeah, that could be great. I know there was a shmupmeet near Montreal filled with arcade cabinets a few years ago, so there is definitely a community in the area.

Actually, I'm posting in here because I'm slowly starting to visit Montreal slightly more often (for social reasons) and was wondering if there's still any kind of community there.

I might show up. to something like this. I'm not a big shmup player however, but I'm a retro gaming fanatic and a good gamer. Also I love playing on CRTs

I live in Quebec City though so I need to be able to schedule other Montréal meetings/shopping on the same weekend, for it to be worth the trip.


Too bad you guys are relatively far from me : I've got a big-ass Mutisync pro CRT at home (NEC XM37 Plus), that would make a kickass setup with a supergun, being able to display all of 15 kHz, 24 kHz and 31 kHz signals.
And with consoles and PC too : it syncs up to 720p and 1080i, and even SXGA in progressive scan.
