Anytime that is free for folks to come to Natick (and the monthly fighting game tournament is not going on - maybe it could happen side by side but it might be crowded) is fine with me.

Just got to make it through this weekend, then I can think about videogames again.

Alright, some strange things are over with, and I would like to host something possibly the week after thanksgiving?
Unless this weekend works for anyone? Kinda last minute.

Jambitboom and ECZang came over today, mostly chilled out and got busy with lasers and holograms in the art studio. Then Zang and I had a heated 'first-to-10' rounds in Magical Drop 3, I think I won 10-9 8)

Jambit treated us to chinese and we checked out a cool art show at the comic store:

So with Round 1 in Taunton now, would you guys want to have monthly meet ups there? Granted theres not much in terms of shmups (DDP DOJ, Espgaluda 2, Futari 1.5, Twinbee, Strikers 1945), but there are plenty of other games to keep us occupied and it would be a great chance to just meet up and have fun with each other.

Regardless, if anyone wants to go tomorrow, I'll be down there.

There will be an impromptu meet up at Round 1 next week (7/2) as SFKhoa is coming from Canada to have fun in MA. Myself and ShedNinja are going, but more are welcome to come as well!

Looking to do something at my place again pretty much any weekend this month.
Anyone feel like making the trip to 01027?

Okay, I'll try to see if some people can make it on sunday.
Let's call it tentative for now. I'll try to give a few days notice either way.

Postponing for now, I'm going to try and figure out a date that works for more people.

Hope something can happen in the next 3-4 weeks :?

Yeah, tomorrow wouldn't have been a good day for me anyways. We should try to shoot for something 2 weeks ahead of time or something!

I was actually just thinking of this. I'm in good relations with the owner of Game Underground. I was thinking we could have a shmupmeet there on a Saturday. We'd might have to pay for a venue fee (like $5 probably) but we'd get a great space with a lot of restaurants around, plenty of rhythm games, and lots of space for CRTs that they themselves can provide.

The only downside there's only 1 candy cab (mine), so most set ups would have to be CRTs, consoles, and superguns. Would people be interested?

My buddy Ilya (for all I know, he may post here) helps out with a relatively new 'barcade' (moreso just a tavern with a dickload of good arcade games in Canton, MA) and he's having a vidcon night on November 16th! I'll be bringing at least one 20some inch consumer CRT (maybe 2), he might be bringing his PVM, and the place itself has several flatscreen TVs that we'll be allowed to use as well. I'm probably going to bring my Saturn w/ a Phoebe and a Dreamcast with a GDEMU clone. Maybe a RGB-Pi, provided it arrives in the mail by then. Anyone is allowed to/encouraged to bring their own consoles and games!

If anyone's interested, I can post more details ASAP! :)

...and if any of y'all live between Wayland (my hometown) and Canton I'd be glad to give and of you folks a ride. My smallish consumer CRT doesn't have YPbPr ports (only my massive 32" one does), so anyone with a small enough consumer set with YPbPr ports who'd be into dragging one along would be a certified G. Gotta let people bask in the glory of the new RetroTink RGB2COMP transcoder! :D

Here is a link to the event on Facebook, if you look up the venue you can get a better idea of the arcade games they've got set up :)
