Re: Norcal / San Jose meet early September 2013
I'd love to attend. So far I've only met the SoCal crew.
I pretty much need it to be on a weekend, since I'm working full time. After September 5th would be ideal, but anytime before the 22nd I can make it.
I can bring an Ibara board and maybe try to demo if people are interested...?

Re: Norcal / San Jose meet early September 2013
Thanks for the heads up, alamone. I'll try to make this one! I have plans already for Sept. 7-8, but other weekends are open for me right now.

Looking to firm up a date, so thinking 2nd weekend of Sept. on either Sat or Sun.

Sounds good. I can make either date with a preference for Saturday, but I'll ask my friend Nate to see when he can make it.alamone wrote:Looking to firm up a date, so thinking 2nd weekend of Sept. on either Sat or Sun.

Re: SF Bay Area / Norcal / San Jose meet September 14 or 15,
Scratch that. Nate's more partial to Sunday, so I prefer Sunday now too. He can make either day, though.

Re: SF Bay Area / Norcal / San Jose meet September 14 or 15,
I would be available to go on a weekend that isn't october 12 (I believe).

Re: SF Bay Area / Norcal / San Jose meet September 14 or 15,
I'm definitely free that weekend, so this sounds good to me. Either day works.
In addition to the Ibara board I can also bring a stick that'll work on 360/PS3/DC.

Re: SF Bay Area / Norcal / San Jose meet September 14 or 15,
Not sure of my availability on this weekend, but can't do Saturday's.
Re: SF Bay Area / Norcal / San Jose meet September 15,2013
Seems like there is a preference for Sunday so let's plan for Sun, Sep 15.
Hope you can make it out for a least a few hours Dave.
I've put up a RSVP list in the OP.

I can possibly make it. I can bring:
-Sega CDX with Crystal Clear Audio Mod (only one in the world right now I think), S-Video, RGB out, and fully region free
-Sega Game Gear modded for TV output! RGB out or Component out through a converter. Also have link cable to SMS controller for 2 player SMS
-Sega Game Gear Kirkzz flash cart
-Crazy tiny cool supergun (see my webpage for pics)
-Genesis flash cart (the ancient Tototek one)
-A generally sarcastic and off color sense of humor
-Sega fanboyism

I'll try to show up, and if I do, I'll try to bring my bartop cab. I'll have more games for it!
Re: SF Bay Area / Norcal / San Jose meet September 15,2013
Bump - I think the RSVP list is pretty much finalized, I will send out invites probably beginning of next week.
Once the setups are a bit more firmed up I can see whether we need any additional hardware / sticks / etc,
but I'd def. like to see segasonicfan's mini supergun, looks like a neat project.
Please see the OP for the food plans; if anyone's vegetarian please let me know.
Also feel free to bring any extra snacks, drinks, etc. but it's not a requirement.

Im vegitarian (though not the self-righteous kind). I can eat some seafood, fried shrimps would be sweet. if Im the only veggitarian though I can just bring my own sandwhich or something.

Nah, that's actually a good idea. Fried shrimp is one of my specialties so I can whip up a batch.
Good with BBQ or tonkatsu sauce too.

Whoa, shmupmeet is capped? Glad to see a strong turnout. Got work until 5pm that day and the next morning, so it looks like I wouldn't have been able to make it anyway. Have fun, guys. Hopefully I'll see you at the next one.
Re: SF Bay Area / Norcal / San Jose meet September 15,2013
Invites have been sent. Please PM me if you did not receive!

By the way, here are my requests for extra stuff:
- Extra chair or stool
- Pads or sticks wired for DB15 female (neo-geo pinout)
- Drinks
Please chime in if you can bring one of the above.

I can bring a stool (two if needed).

Just one would be great. Thanks!antron wrote:I can bring a stool (two if needed).
Re: SF Bay Area / Norcal / San Jose meet September 15,2013
I can bring some beer like last time. There is a slight chance I won't be able to make it though (work, bleh), so probably best if someone doubles up on that.
Re: SF Bay Area / Norcal / San Jose meet September 15,2013
Just as a FYI, I BIN'ed a cheap Zero Gunner PCB from ebay, and hoping it will arrive in time for the meet.
I personally like it more than 2 but I'm probably in the minority for that one, heh.

Re: SF Bay Area / Norcal / San Jose meet September 15,2013
My apologies, I won't be able to attend your cool shmupmeet this time around, Alamone, as something came up. I'll have to take a raincheck and attend a future one. This will open up a vacant spot for another cool shmupper to attend if he or she wants to.
Thanks again,
