Any Arcades in the Atlanta region?

Post by jigenbakuda »

I will be attending the zelda concert next week and I wanted to know could I get some arcadage while I was out of town.

I searched thye forum and found nothing, plus all the posts were from like 09...

So if you can, just give me a link to their website or an address or something.

Looking at google I found things like game-x which is a fucking joke... it looks worse than dave and busters... joystick gamebar whose newest game was fucking nba jam! (not that I don't like the 90's, it was my favorite gaming era)

Can someone please save me and tell me where I can find a proper arcade with at least 1 shooting game, please.

Places in Atlanta that hate me as a person:

I have spent a lot of time in Atlanta over the years, and I don't know of a single decent arcade.

Great pizza, but get it to go.... Getting a table there when it is crowded is like a 200 person thunderdome.

Rob's right about the lack of arcades. I haven't really found anywhere worth going my entire time downtown. When is the event you're hitting up?

Sorry to rez a thread so old, but I'm an Atlanta native, and was looking for cades or meets. They don't have any shmups but Joystick Gamebar has a good selection of fighters and brawlers from the late 80's early 90's era. Unfortunately thats about it. All the other cades are just fun centers with like 99% redemption games.

Sorry to bump this from the dead again but I wanted to chime in...

I have a small private collection of arcade games and I usually host weekly meetups for my group. We mostly play music/rhythm games but we enjoy shmups and other arcade genres as well. Send me a PM if you are ever interested in hanging out. Probably better to PM me over at the KLOV forums since I'm over there more often. Same username.
