SF Bay Area Shmupmeet: June 3rd, 2012

Looks like Myung will host us at GameCenter Arcade for our next shmupmeet! Here are the details so far:

Date: Sunday June 3rd, 2012
Time: I'll start setting up around Noon, the arcade closes at midnight, although I think most people won't be around that late on a Sunday.
Location: 47 South B Street, San Mateo, CA 94402
Entry Fee: $7 for wristband ($5 if you are bringing your PCBs)
Parking: Free parking structure located across 1st street

Cabs and potential games list.
- Astro City (Vertical): DoDonPachi Saidaioujou (PCB)
- Egret 2 Vertical (Horizontal + VGA): Deathsmiles MBL (XB360)
- Red Storm LCD (Vertical): Mushi HD 1.5 Matsuri (XB360)
- Red Storm LCD (Vertical): DDP DFK BL/Arrange (XB360), Mushi Futari BL (XB360), others
- Astro City (Horizontal): Akai Katana (PCB), Gradius Gaiden (PSX)

We may have a mystery head-to-head competition on a pair of horizontal Astros, and/or link up the Red Storms for a vertical mystery game.

Wristbands will also give you access to any of the other LCD fighting cabs.

Does Myung have a DDP-DFK 1.5 PCB up & running at his arcade? It'll require a four button scheme to play properly though. Or how about MVS Fast Striker version 1.5 or Namco System 12 Tenkomori Shooting PCBs? Can bring any of those boards along easily.

It'd be great to pair up the ol' DDP-DFK ver. 1.5 PCB with your DDP-SDOJ PCB & draw some comparisions/similarities between the two. Should make for an epic shmupmeet indeed.

I wouldn't miss the golden opportunity to properly try out DDP-SDOJ in a dedicated game center establishment.
