Berlin Shmeet on May 11th/12th, 2013

With a probability of 90% I'll be in Berlin from September 30th (Friday evening) to October 3rd (Monday noon/afternoon). I want to meet an internet friend of mine (who also plays shmups sometimes) for the first time and attend the Heidenfest concert in Postbahnhof on Sunday.

Should still be more than enough time for gaming, meeting, babbling and so on... So do any of you guys Jockel, CIT etc. maybe want to have a little shmupmeet?

Hello guys!

I'm coming to Berlin again for at least two weekends in the next time. More precisely:

• April 5th (Friday) to April 7th, 2013 (goint to attend concerts on Friday and Saturday evening)
• May 10th (Friday) to May 12th, 2013 (concert on Friday evening)

So is anyone interested in a little shmeet on one (or both) of these weekends? Would love to meet up with Jockel again, and maybe this time also with CIT and others?
For the April weekend, I think only Sunday will be worth a meet, in May Saturday or Sunday will be fine. (I might also need a place to stay over at night.)

The weekend in April isn't too promising in the meantime anyway. On Sunday I will be going back to Dresden rather early.

a STGer from China but live in Darmstadt and also new here.

I think I'm a bit manic for Shumps. My favourite Game ist PCB(the 7th work from touhou project) and Mushihimesama Futari(black label). The latter is a Arcade-STG, which in the moment I cannot find and play in Germany. I think it might be in the "Spielhalle" but I have gone to some "Spielhalle" in Darmstadt and finding nothing STGs.

All in all, I'm eager to meet the german STGer. May 11th or 12th for me are both OK., as long as I can reserve a bed from youth-hotel in Berlin.

Ah, there is no game here that I'm good at, except when Futari is Mushihimesama Futari Black Label, of which Manic-Mode I've played a lot.
Do you have another STGs for example Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu, when the answer is no that is also Ok. I can just watch you to play Battle Garegga, which I've heard is quite difficult.

As this is the first time that I have a Shmupmeet in foregien country I really have lots of to ask:

But at least I'll bring 1 or 2 Dreamcast pads if necessary. Another Giga Wing 2 session with 4 players would be fun (at least once we're too tired or drunk to play other games decently xD ). Do you have the game and 4 pads, Jockel?

haha, I hope I won't perform too worst. I would like to bring my laptop to this meeting, with which can we play many STGs also. But it can only be played with keyboard, maybe, I don't know whether the joystick or DC-Pad work or not.

Nice meet! Thanks to everyone who was there and especially to Jockel for hosting. Also thanks to Plasmo and Jockel for forcing me to play Super Star Wars. Might just have rediscovered my masochistic vein there.

We had a collection of great STGs as well as plenty other painfully hard or even bad games. Now I just need to finally get a 360 with some shmups, especially Futari...

Hope we can meet again soon.

It's so, I have no chance to practicr Arcade-STGs, or I should say not enough interest to practice because I have neither Xbox nor PS2. I will just keep on practicing Touhou Project in PC, anyway, that is interesting.

Of course I will not totally ignore the Arcade-STGs.
