I had a ton of fun! Twalden has a really fun setup and was a gracious host. I learned a ton about the hardware and picked up a ton of gameplay tips. The most memorable part was Chairtax and Twalden's epic B. Rap Boys session!

I go to 1up and 2up quite a bit, y'all have a great thing going on! I'd love to see a good shooter in there. Something like Raiden DX would be cool and attract a wide range of players. The hipsters at 2 up would pump quarters into a newer Cave board in a candy cab.

Whenever you have time man. I appreciate that it takes a significant effort to host something like this. I had a ton of fun last time!

As far as 1/2up goes, we have had a couple of smaller meetups at 1up with folks from the BYOAC forum. We are having on at 6:00 PM this Sunday if you need an excuse to head down.
it would be cool to have a multiboard Denver meetup (Shmups, BYOAC, KLOV+ others) at 1/2up on a Saturday or Sunday morning and see if Exidy would be willing to talk shop a bit before everyone goes off to play games. I'd love to know what goes into maintaining that many games.

Crap, I can't make either date. I have my son's 9th birthday party (retro gaming themed ) on the 6th and my wife is out of town the 13th.

Is the 20th an option? If not, can I just bring all the kids over to your place for the party

So here is the update. I will be putting a shmup in the 1up mid next week.
I stated this on a different post, but I will start with something mainstream/common then gradually switch it to more hardcore shmups

Well I already took the weekend off of work, so I better be able to make it! I don't know if I can contribute anything, but I do have some console shmups? All the region-free 360 cave games which I'm sure everyone else already has, and a JPS2 with some games that should be arriving today. For that, I have:

Espgaluda
Dragon Force/Sol Divide
DDP DOJ
Sexy Parodius

and then I have some PS1/PS2 stuff actually released in the US. That's about it, though.
