Rancor: are you going to Game Legend this weekend? Neo XYX will also be shown on the 9th on top of Hey. Will be going to both events even though I just get back at midnight this Friday lol

Yes! I will definitely be at Game Legend. Didn't know about Neo XYX at Hey - are you arranging that?

Not sure when I'll be going to the event above Hey on Saturday as I'll likely be super jet lagged but I'll bring your stuff to Game Legend on Sunday. Did you get some good use of out of the degaussing wand?

yeah - but it never "sticks".

As soon as I turn the monitor back on the next day (or following week) the same problem spots are there again, and I have to hit it again with the wand. Thinking of just sending it in for repairs (Sony PVM) know of a place that does good monitor work? I'll be sure to bring the degausser on Sunday.

How was Game Legend?
Kind of far and I had a brutal hangover... I got home about the time I'd have been leaving to go. And the Earthquake didn't help!

This was my first one but I liked how it wasn't overly crowded.

Mostly picked up a ton of arranged game music, some super plays (some now on blu-ray) and got some stuff for Metal Slader Glory (I'm sure no one cares about that stuff).

I picked up all of the DVDs for Onion Software, the guys who do documentaries on Japanese and US arcades so that might be interesting. They have a lot of their clips over on YouTube.

There was a cab with Bombs Away, unreleased, in it.

It's a cool event -- I really like it. I only went to one, but it was pretty cool to see a bunch of dorks in my age group that have devoted their lives to games from simpler times. Such a great city, Tokyo -- there is something here for every fetish... and a few of them aren't disgustingly perverted.

As of now, I am here in Feb but gone most of March (off to the Bay for GDC).

I've never mixed the 外人シューティング部 and 基板部 before though
