I should also say that I was disappointed with the controls to 1944 and Raiden Fighters. Far too sluggish which resulted in a number of deaths when trying to bullet dodge.

The controls on Ibara were great.

Been busy too. I was in Germany at Leipzig games convention. Now I'm off to a rave in the fields, and next weekend its Bestival, an awesome festival in the UK. I'll be back though!

Anyway - I'm off to Casino for Friday night - anybody heading down? My visit will be brief though. 6.15pm - 8pm probably.

Be good to see when people are going down next week too. I fancy a good proper evening there, so if any of you know when you're going of course it would be great to coordinate.

Heh, a mini-mini-meet? Well, I'd be game.

I would come down on Friday, only on a weekday I'd unfortunately spend more time travelling than in the arcade! I was down last Sunday, but didn't see anyone and Casino was teeming with people playing 3rd Strike. I'm withdrawing my previous tirade against Troc somewhat, as I decided to give Accent Core a spin for the first time and everyone was cool (well, one guy was a jerk), the skill level was varied, and I had lots of fun despite not knowing how to use Jam's card and HS changes. :)

Though it's still loud, busy and I didn't really need squawking little kids dry humping the other-side pretending they were playing it when I was against the CPU.

I've got £87 to last me till pay day! Still - that's over £4 a day just about! Thats about the price of breathing in once in London!

I dunno how you survive at all, to be honest. I was financially crippled by my last visit, and that was just a day-trip. There was me thinking the streets were paved with gold, when in fact it's the games journalists who hog all the sodding wealth.

Actually, I've got tonnes of gold paving stones in a basement in Bethnal Green. I use them as paperweights for the enormous £1 trillion notes I get paid each day.

I guess you mean the cab that currently has Ibara. Next to it is another vert sit-down, that has a multiboard with a few really old shooters hidden away on there.

I'm living in London (wood green) while doing a degree in digital media and games studies, and casino is just a 40 minute bus ride on the 29.

I got in a few times last year after being harassed by the Scientologists outside but always seemed to be the only shmupper in at the time. This year I hope to get in a little more.

I'm just waiting for my loan to come through before heading back, hopefully it will be next week.

Chances are if you are in there and there's a fat bloke with a Nintendo shoulder bag screaming at strikers, that'll be me wasting taxpayers money
