So am I, but there overground is screwed and it takes an hour from Victoria with 2 changes... London bridge is the best option, I think you can get a train that takes 10 minutes.

Casino Crew Monthly Meet #07: Cancelled

Edit: I have a job interview on Monday 30th and there's a lot to prepare for it, so the "official" monthly meet this weekend is cancelled.
Don't let that stop you from going to The HoG, Las Vegas, The Four Quarters or any of the other great arcades/barcades in London though!

Chisus, there's a shmup event happening in Shanghai on May 1st in Lie Huo arcade. A really amazing place with every Cave shmup you can think of from Mushi BL to SDOJ

I'm covering the event for Eurogamer. If you're nearby, drop in (and Bangkok is really nearby, it's like an hour by plane last time I was there.)

Just getcha visas in order. ;)

CHIsus! I'm in London on the 16th. Want to meet up in the evening (early evening I guess; I likely need to hop a train back to Light Gun land (Hastings) by about 10pm)? Could go to Las Vegas arcade? Or just hang out somewhere.

Anyone else wanna join us?

Let's meet!

I'll be in central on the 16th, but you need to message/text me before you get to Las Vegas, I'll be a bit busy :!:
Also, could you bring my stuff with you please :?: Many thanks...

Actually, Bangkok to Nanning is like London to Brighton, if you replace shitty ancient overpriced trains with an inexpensive plane flight. It's about 30 quid last time I checked too.

Passed by 'Vegas Arcade and had a few credits of Espgaluda 2 and its dodgey blue tinted screen.

Lost on stage 4 one of the guys that worked there said I was the best player he'd seen, also had a little lament about the relative popularity of rhythm stuff compared to real arcade games.
I suppose they'll be getting more of my business after that compliment

Well, i guess this is not a post for anything shmups related, but i'll be spending the night of the 11th of June in London for a flight transfer and would love to go out for some brews if anybody's available!
It's gonna be quite late though. Will probably be in central London around midnight.

Will try to work up some money to get in a true visit later during summer as well. Gotta see what shmupping pleasures there still are in London.

Hey all;

I'm traveling with family for vacation this summer and will be in London for the next four days. Aside from tomorrow afternoon we don't have any incredibly firm plans before we leave the country.

Thought I should check in and see if there was any chance of meeting up with the UK crew! :D

Just noticed the post...

Hey Softdrink117,

The UK crew is pretty much dead, but I'm still around (not for long) if you're up for a drink and a chat

We tried a few meets at HoG but other than the Christmas meet it was usually just two or three people turning up.

In general I think it's a shame we don't have regular meets, but without Casino it's tough, plus there's a lack of new games that we can all collectively play... we are all getting older etc...

I'm around early August for a mini meet / drink. It's always best to post here otherwise the thread will die along with Casino

I've never been there and I don't know the people running it.

Any comments on this from those who do?

Shitty situation though. We need to adopt the Judge system worldwide.
