I'd be really up for August - and making it to both days this time! Bit early for a separate thread I guess...

I could come in August as well if it's as cheap as last time (which is much cheaper than it would have been this time, surprisingly :/).

dude, if you are gonna tell them to do anything to superturbo, get them to put it in the versus city machine which currently houses non vs game "asian dynamite". i dont know whos idea it was to put that shit in there in the first place, whoever they are they have proven their ignorance of the business that they work in.

I just hope Progear stays in there. Speaking of that Masamune, you never got to show me that Progear level 1 trick - you there this Friday?

Pink Sweets and Esp II are set to come out this weekend, if Masamune is around.
Choices of new or replacement titles going in is still open.......
Personally I wouldnt mind an Ibara board or Ketsui going in. Tatsujin Oh on the insane Japanese setting will still be going in to torment The Old Mills, but there is a spare sit down cab for the No.1 choice game...to be decided.

spadgy = Progear stays as it belongs to the arcade, like Mush.

What Progear level 1 trick?

I'm up for another meet - August sounds like a great Summer bash, and a perfect chance to avoid the sun and spend the day in the basement of an amusement arcade.

That's the bit. Try as I might it won't work. I've watched that video countless times.

Last time I was at Casino Masamune said he'd show me how it's done.

DEL - If they're looking to put Ibara in, I'd happily lend mine...

Icarus did an explanation on the streaming over at namako awhile back. Halfway down the page or so:

I can normally pull off at least a partial jewel stream, tend to screw it up though. Finally broke the 2mil barrier on the 1st stage today though :)

How do you get 2mil on the first stage?!

Well don't know if the US one, which I assume has less bullets, will be more of a problem but you can at around 1million with a good stream at the end and I can normally pull together 1million for the stage even with a foobar stream (plenty of diamonds available).

Shame on that run I then proceeded to totally screw stage 2 up :/

After playing the JP version at home and going to Casino, I can definitely say that (even on proportionate difficulty) the enemies in the US one die earlier.
This includes bosses.
It's Marginal, but I noticed getting the extra life on stage 4 is a bugger on the JP version compared to the US. I then started looking at some of the other larger enemies (like the stg 4 Helicoptors and train car things on stg 3) and they definitely die faster with a bit of steady gunning.

I assume that is playing with default difficulty levels then? I must say when I turned my jap board to level 2 for the most part there seemed to be about the same level of bullets but things were obviously slightly easier. But who knows, I still sucked even at level 2 ;)

IIRC the japanese version is difficulty 4 and has quite a bit more bullets thrown about. I'd assume scoring is a fair bit higher on the JP setting just cause there is more on screen to convert for score.

The AEX guys translated a Japanese guide which has some nice tips and strats here:
