Finding custom stick casings.

Post by Damocles »

Apologies if this should be in the trading section.

I am having a bit of trouble locating good custom joystick cases. Unlike most of the sticks out there I use mine exclusively in my lap. As such, most sit too high to be used comfortably. I have found that X-Gaming sells just the enclosure for $30.00, which is great because it's what I would model a case off of. It sits low, angles upward, and isn't ungodly huge. Unfortunately it will also have the X-Gaming logo on it, and may or may not have the ports drilled into the back (which I have no need for).

Any ideas?

And before you say it, I don't trust myself enough in the shop to produce an attractive case. I'm an electrician, not a carpenter.

Back when I was making a few joysticks for myself, I made one with this:

They're a bit light, so you'd probably want to throw a weight in them. They'll probably only fit japanese buttons, but it depends on your layout.
