Check out the hardware forums at Shoryuken.com. There's tons of information there. Dave K. will probably jump in here and show some links to the forums he's involved with.

Happy building!

If you're looking for a Saturn stick, I ordered one of these last week and it arrived yesterday.

I haven't played on it yet but the construction feels fairly sturdy. The throw of the stick is a bit much for my tastes, but whatever. For the price, I'm happy with it.

I could probably throw in some Seimitsu parts in later too.

For iatneH,

Yep, those Seimitsu joystick controls + push buttons (in lieu of the stock generic arcade stick controls) on a console arcade stick will work wonders for your casual gaming & is essential for shmup & fighting games (if you want precise joystick movement on the fly). Prepare to watch your shmup-based high scores go even higher. ^_~

Does that stick really only have 3 buttons? I know you usually only need that many, but there are a handful that do.

I will one day make myself a Sega Saturn stick, but won't get around to it for a while. I figure I'll gut an Agetec.

While I"m here. Is there a PS to Sega Saturn converter? IE, a PS stick on a Saturn?

Galuda Arrange mode is the only one that comes to mind immediately... Does Metal Slug 6 use 4 buttons? I probably won't be playing fighters with this stick, apart from Art of Fighting :p

I just took the stick for a spin now. I had to plug in a second controller so I could add credits for RSG (er...pirated... I'll get around to buying a ST-V version soon).

I'm going to open it up right now to see about sticking a DB-15 on it.

Check on Lik-sang for classics convertors, there should be a PS-> pretty much anything you can think of.

gutting a stock stick and customizing it is by far the best route.

big wooden sticks are extremely pro and all, but they're big, clunky, heavy, and require a lot of work.

I still think the agetec is the best stick to mod for sanwa or seimitsu parts. People love the Hrap but it's just too damn big for me.

The Hori Soul Calibur, and that VF one are good ones too.

I've modded my agetec with a sanwa and haven't looked back. My next project is a gutted hori fighting stick SS

oh ya, if you go for the agetec, definately go for this guy's technique to customize it. You'll lose the vmu window, but it's just too sexy with that lexan.

peace,

King.
