I've never had a six button cab, but I got a x-men vs. street fighter board a bit ago. It's been sitting around, I've wondered what to do about it, and then....
1. Front Jamma connector board from a dead Punisher
2. small plastic connector- I think from old rotary stick
Equals= rad homemade kick harness+jamma convertor that fits right on the front of the board and lets me play a four button version (minus medium punch and kick). It's still fun that way!
Now I can play the capcom fighters until I get a six button cab.
Great Idea for CPS 2 users woth 4 button cabs

heres guessing the handicap swings bothwaysbwod1e wrote:no mediums hits is a very good way to die easily against a decent player
would be really low to have 6 buttons vs 4
ed: used capcom kickharnesses are like $6 from cosmico itll be alot harder (and expensive) to track down a dead punisher AND a rotary cable
the destruction of everything, is the beginning of something new. your whole world is on fire, and soon, you'll be too..
Very likely - a lot of suicide CPS1 games are failing around now. Lucky you can revive them these days.

better way:
replace button 2's wire the one of button3.
anyway try to connect two pins on the CPS2 connector to button weak kick and strong kick to buttons 3 and four.
Presto. Or just buy a kick harnes then it'll be less messy.
So your tip is that you can rip a connector from either a CPS1 Punisher Jamma board or from a rotary stick and use that to plug into the CPS2 aux kick harnes connector? OK, good find, but you could just plug any thing in there, still good find

Well, I was just trying to do what you described, and found those lying around. The coolest thing about it is that it's a great little hot-glued unit that fits totally snug against the CPS 2, and is super easy to connect and disconnect.D wrote:better way:

Before that, I considered external wires (to messy) and then maybe modifying one motherboard to work with the four button set up internally, but was torn about it since it was just till I can get a six button cab- didn't want to ruin anything, you know. Then I found those extra parts.
