Is it good idea to use Uninterrupable Power Supply with SG?

Post by PC Engine Fan X! »

Sometimes, when I'm using my computer, the power goes off just for split second which results in it shut off completely.

Would getting one of those heavy duty Uninterrrupable Power Supply units be good for use with a Supergun and PC setup?

And do you use a UPS unit with your arcade cabinet or Supergun setup as well?

Thank you in advance for your comments & suggestions...

Since there are no moving parts on PCBs (like in a PC harddrive) there is no harm if the board voltage drops below spec and resets. Voltage spikes (up only) should be caught by your cab/SG power supply, and blow a fuse before it gets to the board.
