OT, but this amused me to no end:

Obviously, Arcade Infinity is not going on the list

Great blog, btw. While I generally don't like MAME cab conversions, I have to say that that's a really well done one. Good work!

ironically, the thing is that while they do hack jobs, if people order their cab from AI and it arrives a bit battered, they get reimbursed, so youre just paying for shipping!!

wait til you see the replacement panels i'm getting made ;)

The only place I've ever bought arcade parts from was Excellentcom, and I highly recommend them. Very friendly and attentive to customers.

I was going to recommend Excellentcom but Blue Lander beat me to it, but they're worth metioning twice :) Email them and ask them for a pcb list they have a VERY impressive list of shooters in stock, cheap too.

If you order from them, they'll send you a monthly excel file with their latest prices and whatnot. Very competitive prices.

Oh, I just thought of another web page. www.therealbobroberts.com. Bob Roberts carries more "mundane" non-Japanese arcade parts, but it's a great place to get hard-to-find ICs and parts. I think he carries some Happ stuff, too. Great service, great web page, great guy. If I highly recommend him.

And speaking of Happ, www.happcontrols.com is a vital resource for joysticks and buttons. If you're trying to restore an old cabinet and you need vinyl and whatnot, they're the place to go.

This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.
