Hi! I would like to add composite to an RF only portable crt tv (Bsr tc7) that I found recently in order to use it for gaming. Looking at other's work I understand that I need to inject the video signal in one of the ICs present on the board; now I have two candidates here: the UPC1420CA and the A7530N. Composite video input is on pin 42 on the UPC1420CA but the IF signal processor is on A7530N where there is also audio output (pin 3) and another video output (pin 16).
For the audio I was thinking to inject the signal directly into the volume slider if it is possible. Also the tv has an isolation transformer that I temporarily disconnected (at least I think that it an isolation transformer); does this mean that there is no need to solder resistors to the rca sockets? Can you please guide me on what and where to solder? It's my first time with a mod like this. Thank you
