I have a dumpster rescue Toshiba 27AFX54 I wanted to use that doesn't display anything. It went from subtle waviness to a large scrolling black bar, to finally displaying nothing over the course of a few days after having it in my basement in disuse for years.
I took the boards out and can't find any capacitor leaks or bulges anywhere. I talked to someone about it and he suggested replacing the flyback or the horizontal output transistor.
1. Any idea what the problem might be?
2. Does anybody know how compatible flybacks are?
The Flyback in my tv says FSU27A004 3227012 SAMSUNG T31210 and I have found plenty online that look almost exactly like it but I heard that isn't indicative of compatibility.
