Blue Tip Gaming Analog Buttons - How to Wire?

Post by NoAffinity »

Anybody have any experience with these buttons? I haven't been able to find much in the way of info on how to hook them up, and not having a lot of success with them. I'm trying to get them working for playing some original Street Fighter in MAME.

I'm able to connect to the zippy microswitch, like any normal digital pushbutton. I'm unable to get analog function out of them, but am probably also going about it all wrong.

I have connected to the two pins on the side of the button, which from the pictures, looks to be the analog signal. I have connected that to a mc cthulhu, trying various inputs including 4P and 4K, which are supposed to register as triggers, so in theory should at least pass through the analog signal. But, maybe I'm wrong in that assumption.

I also have a brooks retro board and a pico fighting board, but haven't tested on those yet.

Anybody have any insight on how to get these buttons working?
