Using D.C sticks on Supergun

Post by the allett »

Hi all,

I have got a Sigma AV5000 Japanese Supergun System that uses NeoGeo pad and sticks as standard!! I want to use D.C sticks on the unit, i have no knowledge or skills on doing such a conversion, but if any of you guys can help then that would be great.

Thanks in advance

It's a fairly simple mod. Basically you'll need to solder each button, plus the four directions to a cable... assuming you know the I don't know the Neo Geo or AV5000 standard. You'd basically need to get two of those connectors and some 15-lead wire and start soldering away.

Does anyone know if a PS2 Hori stick would work on the supergun through one of those Neo --> PS pad convertors?

When I bought a custom-made Supergun from the "Da Man" Matt, I had a plain vanilla Playstation Hori produced "Fighting Stick PS" modded by him with support to play it on a Neo-Geo AES or MVS motherboard setup. The pinout is none other than DB-15 pinout and works like a charm.

Although if you want auto-fire with a DC Agetech Stick, then my suggestion is to pick up a Seimitsu auto-fire PCB that hooks up between the Jamma PCB and the Supergun or arcade cabinet setup. Or you could get a "555" chip and solder it to the action buttons for auto-fire fuctionality.

i dont see why not... but obviously it would have to be a ps ---> neo geo converter

i use similar converters to use my hori RAP stick on my saturn and dreamcast - works flawlessly too i might add :)
