Heres some shots of my "Specialty AV" CSY-2100 clone. Zelda 2 is on my 36" Wega, the Neo Geo shots were from my 27" Wega. For the cheapest available device, you have to admit it still does quite a nice job. I have two and have modded them to have RCA audio out.

Looks dang nice - by any chance, did you turn off “AXNT” (or AXPL if you’re in a PAL-land) in the service menu? It disables the excessive red push that WEGAs of that era have.

I wonder just how many of those units end up needing the interior pots adjusted... I feel like, due to RetroRGB / word of mouth from places like our own messageboard, a lot of people may pop the things open and mess with them immediately. I have trouble believing THAT many units truly need to be adjusted, but I guess it’s entirely possible! Mine was definitely fine as-is

Thanks. I did have to adjust the AXNT on the 36", because it did have the red push. The yellow roads on the overworld of Zelda II make it easy to see if your particular set has the issue--they look pink/peach instead of yellow. I dont remember having to do it on the 27", but it is a 2006 model vs the 2003 36", so its possible Sony addressed that issue by that point. Once I adjusted the 36" I got it looking really nice though.

You are right about them coming in adjusted pretty good. I had my first one for over 5 years before it apparently drifted and I had to adjust it. The second one I bought I only opened it up to see if I could improve it, but really it was pretty damned close out of the box too.
