Seimitsu LS-40/40-01 - Spare Restrictors?

Post by Swevicus »

Hey, guys.

I just recently got a Seimitsu LS-40-01 and I think it's a gem of a joystick alongside the LS-56-01 and the Suzo 500. However, there is a problem: I can't seem to find any spare restrictors for this joystick (the yellow directional restrictor isn't much of an issue for me but the main white square restrictor, I can't find any replacements). If there are no spare parts (which would be foolish on Seimitsu's part), then I'm probably going to end up cursing up a storm, unless I can use a spare restrictor from my LS-56-01. If anyone can help me, then I'd be grateful because I am starting to really appreciate and understand how much I underestimated this joystick. Not too stiff like the 56 but not sloppy and clunky like the 32.

Help a guy out, please.
S.

PS: Just tried using a Seimitsu LS-56-01 square gate on it and it doesn't fit.

PPS: I found some from a site called Tops Game but it's in Japanese only (yes, I studied Japanese in college, but I struggle with the Kanji), so... I'm kind of screwed.

I found https://akishop.jp/products/seimitsu-ls ... pare-parts but they are out of stock for the resistor gate for the LS-40 BUT they said they can get it out to you in a couple days so I would email/call them and see if they can deliver.

You don't really need the restrictor if your okay with a square gate.

btw did you get the old or new version?

Old ones have the AM5 Panasonic Switches
New has Omron switches

New with Omron switches (old version has a square gate, new one has a gate which looks like a cross with the arms shifted off to the sides instead of being dead centre, kind of like a square with the corners cut off).

If you have access to a 3D printer, you can always print your own.

What would be the best (viable) material to print this ls-40 octagonal restrictor?
And which file needs to be printed out of the 4? Or all of them?
