Thunder Dragon 2 factory repair?

I've been looking at Thunder Dragon 2 PCBs online and I see two variations. One is marked NMK and has red dip switches:

The other is marked Banpresto, has blue dip switches, and has a slightly different layout:

The Banpresto one has what looks like a repair made up of two wires near the center of the board in every example I can find online. Has anyone seen a Banpresto without those wires?
