It turns out I just needed to change the Sync settings to composite sync (or SoG), instead of separate sync which was the default on the MegaSG for whatever reason.
On the Super NT & NT Mini it's composite sync by default.

Bottom line, I don't have any issues with the DAC anymore.

Not really the time best well-spent, but I wonder if anyone has put in any work trying to hack these for universal compatibility with 15kHz HDMI? I have a sync combiner cable so it is of no issue to me, but a HDMI -> 240p RGBS device with no need for a secondary cable/powered device would be neat :)

I bought a NT Mini Noir from Analogues a couple of weeks ago. Today I finally had time to test it and guess what? NT Mini Noir has the same issue as the Super NT with DAC. The screen keeps rolling. I guess the NT Mini Noir has the same DAC but integrated. I can't believe Analogue have not updated the DAC firmware yet. Meanwhile my Mister works just fine...

To anyone interrested I have found a solution to this issue. This week I recieved my gscartsw. It supports sync regeneration. I have the Analogue consoles hooked up to the gscartsw with sync regeneration on. It fixes the issue.

Are you sure they are not configured to output SoG ? That would explain why the gscartsw fixes it.

Yes, I double checked. It is set to sync on composite.
