What is Considered Low Crosstalk

Post by erik343 »

What is considered a good low hostile crosstalk value?

I have a Shinybow 6x2 SCART Matrix Routing Switcher, and one of the specifications is that it's crosstalk value is -60dB@1MHz

Is this an acceptable value? How do I know if this is a good, great, or bad value?

Also, what does the frequency (1MHz) mean?, I don't understand how this part of the crosstalk level works?

Thanks.

The 1 MHz is just an arbitrary frequency at which the crosstalk measurement was taken. -60db is the intensity of the signal/crosstalk induced into neighboring channels/ports compared to the actual 0db signal being injected.
