Hi all, I finally got my Extron Emotia (original model) out and tried to hook it up to my Trinitron consumer CRT. I'm having an issue where the picture looks all blown out. I can't figure out what is going on. I tried messing with the color settings in the Nvidia control panel and on the tv but it didn't make much of a difference. It looks like a signal issue. Output is 640x480 @ 59hz.
The signal path is HDMI > VGA converter (confirmed working with PC CRT) > VGA extension > Extron > S-video.
The colors are blown out and the image is just blurry overall. I read around and saw something about 75ohm termination. This model doesn't have the switch for it but it does state "Automatic 75 ohm termination for use with or without PC Monitor."
Extron Emotia - Brightness and color issue
Re: Extron Emotia - Brightness and color issue
I always do the dumbest things. I had the input plugged into the output. Not sure how I was even getting an image. Only thing thats still is an issue is a flickering white horizontal line that flashes randomly on the screen. Probably old capacitors in the emotia unit. Looks pretty good otherwise.
