CPS 1.5 suicide battery swap -- which method was used?
Are there various ways to conduct a CPS 1.5 suicide battery swap and if so is there a cleanest way that results in the most "unmodded" state for the board? Can I tell if that cleanest method was used by looking at the board?

You can reinject the keys by the ArcadeHacker method:

If that's what was done to it, you could tell only by the batteries (a different brand from original, and / or a newer date on them).

This is on the horizon:

This is probably the best option to keep the board in a pristine state.
If it's like the CPS2 InfiniKey, it would be possible to restore to battery if you were so inclined.
