I'm looking to know whether, in theory at least, one could get any set that uses the ba-5d chassis and turn it into a fv310 via removing its board and replacing it with a board extracted from a xxfv310.
That is, get any ba-5d set and take its board out. Take out the board of any xxfv310, and put it in place the original.
Mostly this would be to mod a 27 inch ba-5d into an fv310 (because the 27fv310 is harder to find but the larger ones are easier). Also maybe find a 32/36 inch ba-5d tube that has low usage and turn it into a fv310 (which might have a dimmer tube by this point, for example).
