Hi,
I am thinking about getting a few consoles modded for RGB.
AV famicom
N64 NTSC (possibly ultra HDMI)
3DO NTSC
Who would you recommend?
Thanks.
Who is the best UK modder for RGB etc?

This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.

Videogameperfection did my N64 HDMI mod a few years back and I was pleased with their work

More recently I’ve ordered a DCHDMI modified Dreamcast from 8BitMods, so far the coms have been excellent and I’ll come back and update when I receive it.

VGP 3DO RGB mod and 240p mod is very expensive and thats without shipping.
The N64 mod is reasonable if its just RGB which I might be fine with.

Tbh that’s why I’m trying out 8BitMods, it’s the same price for a whole pre-modified system as VGP charge to mod your own. It comes with a new battery and controller board fuse fix as well.
Really couldn’t fault VGP’s work or support though.

BetaGamma do all our mod work for us now and they're now based out of Greece.
We're expensive since we're not just one guy soldering in his back room and plus we're VAT registered, so I gave up trying to compete on price long ago.

I wouldn't recommend oldskoolconsoles. I had some issues with the initial install and decided to send the boards to him. They cam back a hot glue mess but mostly worked OK. Then a few DIN ports were lower quality so i had to replace myself. for ~$45 per console plus shipping back and forth, I should have taken the time and done everything myself.

Just a quick note to say I received my DCHDMI modded console from 8 bit mods a couple of weeks ago. I swapped the case for an aftermarket one so had chance to check the work out.
To an extent the mod is so well designed it’s pretty hard to do a bad job assuming you can solder the flex cable properly but everything was neat and tidy with no corners cut or missing screws etc so certainly use them again for stuff I can’t handle myself.
