I have (multiple) SC 210 units that I'm seeing a peculiar behavior on.
I'm using them in an arcade setup, and I just discovered that for the DDP/Esprade/Dangun era Cave PCBs, the extron will refuse to separate the sync no matter how it is plugged in or configured.
If I plug another PCB in (say, something like Pink Sweets or Espgaluda 2) the extron properly outputs separate sync.
As anyone seen this behavior before? I thought the extrons were pretty robust in dealing with 'weird' sync but I guess not?
As an aside, my 203Rxi also refuses to see a signal from those pcbs. Passthrough works though.
Would I possibly have better luck with a SCS 300?
Extron SC 210 refuses to separate sync
Re: Extron SC 210 refuses to separate sync
Are you connecting the RGB video lines? I've used a few Extrons purely for sync purposes, and a couple of them won't do anything at all unless they detect video through their RGB inputs.
For one, the 160xi, I actually put composite sync on the green input (with a resistor to cut the voltage) to make it work.
My SS 220 is weird: it won't turn composite sync into HV sync unless the video lines are attached, but it will turn HV into composite regardless.

Yeah, all RGB lines connected, both input and output
