Need to program some MX29LV160 chips

Post by NEO-GEO Man »

Hi all,

Just as the title says, need to program some MX29LV160 but for some reason im having issues with the TOP3000 not doing it.

How is everyone else doing it? What am i missing? Ive done thousands of EPROMS and EEPROMS before and never an issue, but these cheeky buggers wont go!!

Thanks all :)

I know that with the TL866 you can only select the TSOP48 version in the configuration, but you're most likely looking at a SOP-44 for a Dreamcast or alike. I made an adapter plate that works for the TL866 as to get it working, as it's more or less just moving a couple of wires. https://oshpark.com/shared_projects/cyvjThOk Theres a description of this somewhere along page 46 or something on eevblogs review thread on the TL866 if you want to try to replicate this for your unit.
