I was going to update the default palletes on my NESRGB with Firebrand FBX custom profiles. The problem is that I might want to revert back to the default profiles: natural, improved, and garish. My question is this: where can I download these default firmware profiles again? I just don’t want to lose them!

Pretty sure you can use the original firmware which will also contain the original palettes:

Thanks man!

Now all I need is to know what switch 'position' corresponds to what default palette (natural, improved, or garish).
Because I am hiring somebody to mod my NES, as I have shaky hands which is bad for soldering.
I cannot wait for this lol, I am purchasing the unit next week on ebay!

That will depend on how the person wires it. However the center position should be natural. Are you buying a NESRGB pre-modded system on ebay? If so I really hope you have pictures of the work. Otherwise you might end up paying for it twice.

Yes, I am buying a nice unit on EBAY.COM

I cannot do it myself cause my hands shake.

Are you saying that the 'mod job' might get messed up?

Yes. Many ebay modders have no idea what they are doing and will have 100% feedback because feedback is left by the end user when the device arrives and works. Not a couple months or even weeks later when it is falling apart. You should never purchase modded equipment without seeing the actual modwork. If the modder is coating the solder joints in hotglue or epoxy, they don't know how to solder properly and are hoping that helps, even though it will ruin the joints. Do yourself a favor and acquire a stock console, then go through a reputable modder. You might pay more up front but at least you won't be paying for the same job twice.
