Atomiswave VGA output problem on B&O MX6000

Post by Initial-d »

I recently purchased a consolised Atomiswave and was hoping to run it via the VGA at 15khz to the RGB input on my B&O MX6000. But sadly I get a rolling picture without resistors (with 560ohm on Composite sync, 220ohm on RGB I get no picture).
Do you think it's a case of trying different resistors on the Composite sync line to get a stable picture, or am I wasting my time?

It does have component output (since its consolised) but I only have RGB Scart on the B&O! Unless someone knows where to get a transcoder?

Many thanks for any help as I really want to get it running on the B&O. :(

Do you have access to the service menu? There is a setting which can be adjusted if the picture is rolling (to a certain degree), if I remember correctly.

I can access it, but thought it was only for height width etc...
I’ll have a look to see what the other settings are, would be cool if I could adjust the sync rate.

I know I adjusted hfq in the service menu somewhat to stop some console or other from rolling. Again, this probably helps only so much, but it's well worth trying.

Ahh I finally fixed it!
Due to me not using the correct resistor on the sync line! Put a 1Kohm on there instead of 560ohm and its all good!

All is well that ends well ;)
Does it look nice? I have toyed with the idea of building an mx7000 into a cabinet.

Well it looked sharp on my small 14” test set. Have been rearranging the B&O along with buying gifts for Xmas, work and a baby, so I have yet to plug it in! Hoping I’ll get the opportunity over the holidays... ahh the joys of family!
