Glossy Monitors recommendation

Post by Hoagtech »

I am looking for a new monitor that has a glossy glass front Kind of like an iMac display.

It seems like glossy is no longer "in"

Which monitor could you recommend for PC gaming?

I have an SLI 1080 rig so I should be fairly 4k ready.

The LG 4k and 5k monitor which Apple sell are glossy but not glass.

HP used to sell a 32 inch 4k monitor with a glossy screen called the HP Spectre Studio 32. Their “low haze” line of monitors are also essential glossy.

I believe the DELL 4k OLED monitor was also glossy but they no longer sell it. There may be other DELL monitors with glossy displays but you’d have to do more research

TMK there are no glossy high refresh rate gsync compatible gaming monitors.

You might have more luck finding TVs that are glossy.

There are few glossy monitors out there.

I use an HP 25er which is a 1080p glossy monitor.
But there is no vesa mount and third party mounts are flimsy.
Gamma Tracking variation between units is pretty bad and can only be fixed by LUT calibration in your OS.
(I've been through 3, 1 from 2016 with good tracking. And two 2018 units with pretty bad tracking).

Usually includes whether the monitor is glossy or not.
