Saw someone mention this on Reddit, but thought some people here might be interested. Not sure if they are out yet and I know most people here are into RGB and the like, but still:
-AV adapter for TG16 (and PCE, presumably). It is composite only: https://www.hyperkin.com/av-adapter-for ... erkin.html
-Probably laggy and generally bad, but a composite to 720/1080p upscaling box for $20: https://www.hyperkin.com/converter-box- ... rmor3.html
-And a Saturn controller, which I would be interested to get feedback on. Their Genesis controller isn't too bad, but the face buttons are a little stiff. I imagine this is similar: https://www.hyperkin.com/controller-for ... cirka.html
Hyperkin makes a TG16 AV adapter now (and an upscaler?)

For $20, that AV adapter is a great deal. Even if it isn't as good as the official, it's a cheap way to get composite, so who cares I'll see if I can find some official resellers.
The Saturn controller is just a rebranded Cirka: https://ebay.to/2QUkPN0
If it's decent, it could be another option to use with those new wireless controller kits.
That cvbs to HDMI looks like a re-brand of this: https://amzn.to/2IejaxY
I tested one during my Hyperkin HDMI NES review - It was beyond awful. Direct composite into a flat-screen looked better in most cases. That device also processes a 240p signal as 480i. Completely garbage and I'm sad Hyperkin's selling them.

For the AV adapter, honestly even just $20 to have an enclosure that already has the EXT connector is awesome. I wonder if it has all the pins or if it only connects to the relevant ones. It would be a great way to build other projects (like external RGB with a suitably small PCB, perhaps).retrorgb wrote:For $20, that AV adapter is a great deal. I kind of expected the scaler to be bad, but still, that is disappointing. Something that just takes proper 240p and line triples would be nice for people who are less concerned about video quality.

what they really need to make are some good replacement turbografx controllers or replacement cables for them with better connectors.
the connector on the originals is always broken or falls off shortly after i get one.
I have about 5 turbografx controllers and only 1 still works.
