RGB MOD Toshiba MW27f51

Anyone know if it can be done?
I've got the service manual but can't find a datasheet for ic601 anywhere

The micon chip looks like it has R,G,B, and synch input for OSD. So do I just snip those input legs and input here?
I've seen a few Toshiba mods but not for mine specifically. Can anyone help me out?

I've got the gist but I'd like some guidance on this

:!: :!: Update (edited several times for horrible spelling by me lol)
While waiting for approval, I researched every Toshiba mod I could find here. ...

My conclusion is that I believe it is indeed possible but I'd like an experienced modder to bounce my idea off of.

Using the limited info I could find, I have a very clear idea of what I think you need to do.

I used the service manual I found. Located the area between the jchip and lumma.
From there, I found R, G, B inputs as well as Y.
It is my theory that if I snip all 4 going into lumma,
Then terminate to ground with 75ohm resistors on each RGB input and also put .1uf caps in series (Also for each RGB)
This would allow analog RGB signal to be input.
For Y, put a 1k ohm resistor in series ( see last pic )
This would allow RGB scart with Csync

I'm gonna try to post some images I found that I edited, to help illustrate my idea.
Can anyone with experience in this take a look and see if I'm on the right path?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Got a link to the service manual?

I’ll help if you promise not to use the horrible, obsolete OSD Snip method.

Found the service manual and I’m quite pessimistic.

The jungle chip, Sanyo LA76324NM, is one of a family of chips that can switch between analog and digital RGB on its RGB input. This one appears to be configured for digital RGB input.

First, thanks very much for the reply. I am bummed about the answer but at least you saved me some time.

I noticed on another Toshiba mod post and thought it might apply to mine.
Where did you get the chip datasheet? I looked everywhere. ...got nothing but annoyed with my search engine lol

Is there ANY way to improve picture for this TV on at least ps2 games? Composite kinda isn't enough anymore, damn hd has spoiled me. At least it's better than rf....but that's not saying much lol

I doubt there is but before I recycle a perfectly good 27" crt.. ..
How sure are you about it being digital?
It's not that I'm questioning you, I'm deciding if it's worth finding out for sure, since I'm gonna toss it anyway. If you are high percentage sure, no need to waste my time. ..
Can you give me a number percent sure about chip being digital lol. It'll help me decide

Might as well give it a try if you’re just going to recycle it. If it works you’re golden, if not you’ve learned something.

Open her up and see if there are caps before the RGB pins of the jungle.

I couldn’t find a jungle datasheet either. I have experience with similar. I have also been wrong before about these things so I’d give it a shot and see what happens.

OK, I might just have to give it a shot. Thanks for the advice about caps
I noticed a board component side and solder side illustrations in service manual. It's pretty hard to read but I'm patient. Do you think I'll be able to look at that to find if those caps might exist on PCB? Or better to just Crack it open and look for caps and then trace leads to Luma chip?
Or
When you say jungle. Do you mean look for caps going in to Sanyo chip (IC601)
Just want to clarify if it's the micon (IC101)or Luma chip (Sanyo IC601) RGB inputs to look for caps. I think you mean IC601.....but I don't want to be wrong or unsure on this lol.

Jungle is the Chroma chip.

Thanks very much! I'll report back after I make more progress, but it might be a while.
I am laid up with an injury at the moment, so I've been doing lots of research from my bed while I recover. But I'm glad to help contribute my results here after I get to it again. Maybe it could help someone else in the future.
Next I'll keep an eye open for a TV already on the successfully modded TV list in the other rgb mod thread lol
Thanks again for your help
