Video Out board for Virtualboy

Post by juji82 »

Been looking for this kind of mod for a while, hopefully now I can play some virtualboy games without going blind!
Who's jumping on this?

I would think an HDMI solution would be more relevant moving forward. Bonus if it can drive a VR HMD; might be a little redundant, but I think it would be more comfortable to wear a more recent HMD.

Oh wow! Wario and Telero Boxer on the big screen! I never thought I would see this. And just 40E! Now I need to acquire a VB again. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Wario especially was something special.

Ugh those colors are still awful, it would be better to play on a monochrome CRT this way you won't have to be subjected to this attack on the senses.

Does the Virtual Bot has any good exclusive games?

Most of the VB games are exclusives, quality varies, but:

Wario Land
Bound High
Innsmouse no Yakata
Vertical Force
are fantastic games imo.

Only thing with this board is the lack of actual 3D will really hurt some titles imo....

I haven't played it myself (waiting on an ED-like flash cart to come out), but Jack Bros. looks fun to me, and I really liked playing 3D Tetris and V-Tetris back in the day.
