identify this capacitor

Post by AndehX »

I accidentally broke a capacitor while installing a modchip to a PSOne. Can anyone identify it for me so I can get a replacement?

That is C729 with a rating of 4700pF. To make sure, check to see if it connects to pin 35 on the chip. If it does, then that's the correct rating.

It does indeed connect to Pin35. Thank you very much. I can get this up and running again. I accidentally tried cutting the wire from the modchip to close too the motherboard and ended up snipping the capacitor in half. That's a mistake I'll not make again lol.

Edit: One of these should be fine, right? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KEMET-C0603C ... xyXzxTIjUW
