DDP DOJ PCB Battery Damage?

Post by Chris-Pachi »

Hi all,

I recently went through my PCB collection and found that my DDP DOJ PCB had a leaky battery . I have removed it and cleaned up the board but there is some damage and the game is booting errors (screenies below). Sorry if this has been covered before, but I was wondering if anyone here might have experience with this and be able to provide some clue as to where the culprit damage might be hiding - I have no problems fixing the board or replacing busted parts, I just don't really know what I should be looking for .

The back traces and solder points look fine, but there is a bit of corrosion on the top side, all of which is in the following photos; the rest of the board is clean as a whistle.

When I cycle power to the board it throws different errors each boot, which is confusing.

Thanks :D
Chris.
