So I've recently picked up 3 crt's locally and I wanted to determine if they are displaying the 240p signal properly from my snes or nes. I'm trying to understand 15Khz is the refresh rate or the rate at which the lines are being drawn on screen. 240p being the number of lines to draw. I know the 240p test suite is avalible but not having used it I was wondering if anyone can explain to me if
A.) that suite would have the tools to test if my CRT is treating 240p as a native resolution (I hope I'm using that right) or
B.) there is another test I can do for determining if the CRT is displaying 240p properly.
Thank you and appreciate the patience.

Just tell us the model numbers and we'll tell you! Any reference to "HD" or 1080i and such means it's an HD set which won't do 240p properly (unless it's like a rare Sony PVM L5 or Sony BVM D-series and such -- I'm assuming these are consumer CRT TV's though).

Well I would like to learn more as well as get my hands dirty but I also like not reinventing the wheel haha.Dochartaigh wrote:Just tell us the model numbers and we'll tell you! So the 3 models I have currently are
KV-32HS500
KV-24FS100
KV-24FS120
Also
KV-27FS100 was a set I might go grab later this weekend.
Appreciate any help.

All but the KV-32HS500 are 15khz 240p/480i standard definition sets.
