Why is 6264 and 62256 SRAM that is still manufactured today so much slower than older SRAM modules that have long since been discontinued? Older chips have access times as low as 10ns, whereas all newer ones I can find that you can still buy readily due to them still being in production, are around the 55-70ns mark. What's the deal with that?
