Dear All, my name is Aaron, a new member here.
I got a SONY BVM D24 recently, and I am happy with it.
Now I have a question, is it better to cut off the power (the button on the back) when it is not working? or just keep it on?
As it make a little bit noise and heat when the power is on, especially summer days.
I also afraid to damage it by turning on and off everyday as the operation time is already reach to 50000+ hours.
Can you give any suggestion? Thank you so much.

Re: QUESTION FOR SONY BVM D24 POWER
Hello all.
Currently I found one problem with my BVM D24: it is, when all signs are open, 15KHz/27KHz/33KHz/45KHz (when you open the maintenance menu and go to E board, you can see all the signs is turning on "1"), the monitor will close automatically with overload light flashing and then standby. Even there is no input source, the monitor will close when all these signs are open.
The input I used to cause this problem is: computer-->VGA-->Extron RGB 160xi-->BVM D24
Normal consoles input (RGBS/component input) works fine without overload problem so far.
Dose anybody have similar problem? Or is there something wrong with my monitor?
And any idea about it? Thanks.

Re: QUESTION FOR SONY BVM D24 POWER
I'm sorry, but I'm having a really hard time understanding your English - but if you're trying to send the monitor a 27khz or 45khz signal the monitor might do weird things since those are not compatible signals. As far as I know the D24 is just like my D20 which can only take 15/31/33/47khz signals (240p-480i/480p/720p/1080i).
