Hello everyone, this is a PSA for anyone who has an extron Emotia.
If you do not have an "official" power supply (i.e. using a rewired ATX supply), I found a direct replacement on mouser:
https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/ME ... 1F3A%3d%3d
Same connector and pinout, proper voltages and amps
And $30 plus shipping is a steal compared to what they normally go for on eBay.

also in stock at www.tme.eu , which are great if you're ordering from Europe. Good prices and extremely speedy delivery.
Re: Extron Emotia PSU PSA
It just so happens I ordered a Meanwell PSU from them this tuesday. Shipped same day, delivered yesterday - it was sent from Poland, and I live on an island. I was quite shockedFudoh wrote:Good prices and extremely speedy delivery.

Re: Extron Emotia PSU PSA
I donated my Super Emotia GX, and the recipient bought this PSU and apparently it didn't work, might not have enough amps. There is another version of this PSU on Mouser also that has the same specs but more current available that may be suitable for the super GX.
Edit: though these mean well supplies may work, they are expensive, and the cheaper one linked in the first post doesn't work for the super emotia GX. I recently built one from an ATX supply with a female DIN port so that it could be used with a 5 pin DIN male to male cable. I'm sending it out to someone to test but assuming it works out I can make one for anyone that needs one, probably for $35-$40. I'll post info here or make a thread in the for sale section once it's tested working.

Re: Extron Emotia PSU PSA
I recently bought a Super Emotia, and had good luck with a Mean Well GP50A13D-R1B (higher output than the GP25; if I ever find a GX I'll give it a try). Thanks for this thread!

Re: Extron Emotia PSU PSA
Great thread guys. Got a Super emotia recently and bought myself GP50A13D-R1B. Dnt wana deal with bulky ATX power supplies !!!
Re: Extron Emotia PSU PSA
Hi guys, I'm reviving this thread just to make sure if anyone actually tested the GP50A13D-R1B with the Super Emotia? I'm selling my unit without the power supply and the buyer is on the lookout for a plug and play replacement.
So far my research has led me to the suggestion that the original power supply bundled with Super Emotia GX was Digi UP02513010 with 5VDC 3A, 12VDC 0.5A and -12VDC 0.2A which would explain why the Mean Well GP25A13D-R1B with 5VDC 2.5A, 12VDC 1A and -12VDC 0.3A didn't work as it did not had sufficient amps on the 5V rail compared to the original power supply but the GP50A13D-R1B with 5VDC 4A, 12VDC 2A and -12VDC 0.5A would cover all the requirements for the Digi UP02513010.

The guy said the pinout for the Emotia was GND, -12V, GND, +12V, +5V which would fit the pinout on the diagram info of the GP50A13D-R1B.
https://www.meanwell-web.com/content/fi ... A-spec.PDF
But the Super Emotia & GX manual mentions no amp rating whatsoever.
