Well sure, personally I'm using a PS1 for that anyway.

Yeah, I have other (and better) options to play NTSC PS1 games as well. I guess the only reason left to have a hardmodded PS2 is for games that can't be loaded from HDD or patched with ESR.. but then again I have the physical copy of most PS2 games I'm interested into. I don't care about the green RGB fix or ability to play all-regions DVDs either. So technically yes I'm lucky in that I got one more option at a bargain price but I'm not sure I will ever use it at all.
